The sequel to Belladonna introduces another “entity” character, Fate, the brother of Death and he makes things fun as there isn’t a lot going on other than the whole Elijah Hawthorne convicted of murder plot line. All the while, the Death and Signa romance is still going strong, which I’m still not crazy about.
Things pick up at the halfway point when Signa is sent her bags packing by her beloved cousin, Blythe. Which is actually fantastic because 1) we actually get to see Signa return to her home, Foxglove (title of book) and 2) Blythe is given space to grow as her own character. Ending is solid and sets things nicely for Wysteria, which I can finally get to after being gifted as a Christmas present last year!
