Donna Tartt!! She doesn’t write fiction- she creates worlds. When I read her books I feel like I’m in them. Sometimes it’s uncomfortable. The Little Friend is a world so specific and so special that it makes me wonder if it’s even a bit autobiographical… This book is a slow burn. The slowest kind. If you like intertwining plot lines and tragic irony and Deep Southern gothic, you’ll love this.
