Batwoman, Vol. 4: This Blood Is Thick by W. Haden Blackman, J.H. Williams III, Trevor McCarthy

5.0

The conclusion to J.H. Williams III and W. Hadan Blackman's run on Batwoman is one of the best I'd read so far, which makes it's lack of a conclusion devastating. I still give it 5 stars because it was an amazing read which kept my attention throughout the entire thing.

The relationship between Batwoman and her family, the D.E.O and her Fiance in combination with the beautifully dark artwork creates just the right balance of atmosphere, banter and feelings. Again, the only problem is that the arc does not have a conclusion. In order to find the ending, you must read Batwoman Annual #1, which is a rushed attempt to close one of the best chapters of Batwoman's history. I only wish that DC had not cut the original 2 ending issues of this arc but alas, nothing can be done now. Pick this up regardless, as it was truly worth it even with a major cliffhanger of an ending.
