This PLL prequel does a fantastic job of setting up the series. Getting to read about the main characters seventh grade year makes the rest of the series better and makes it easier for the reader to track the mystery from the beginning. I also greatly appreciate how careful this book was about getting every detail right; I feel like theres a lot of prequels where no ones fact checking anything and this was thankfully one where every single detail matches perfectly with what is said in later books.
