I loved the writing style of this book. It felt lyrical & peaceful, even though some of the content was about a town & people in distress. The setting felt like it’s own character and the writing reminded me a lot of classic literature (I read an interview about the author after and she grew up largely reading classics & the King James Bible so you can see how this has influenced her writing). I felt saddened by some of the characters personal choices, but still thoroughly enjoyed the book.
