This wasn’t really a book for me. Some parts were a bit confusing, and the story felt all over the place. One moment something was being discussed, and the next, a completely different event was happening without any indication of the shift.
The buildup was long and tiring, and it felt like it was leading nowhere. Only around 70% into the story did it become interesting because the buildup finally paid off.
The reasoning and decisions of the MC also made no sense to me.For example, when the husband of his cousin admits he is cheating on her, the MC doesn’t even bother to share this information with his cousin. This happens with multiple situations, which made it hard for me to understand or relate to the MC at all. I understand that at the beginning, his dad had some influence on the man he became (as described in the first few pages), but overall, the MC just felt spineless to me.

Overall, it was an okay read, but definitely not something I would recommend.
Moderate: Murder
