March Grand Prix: The Fast and the Furriest by Kean Soo

5.0

OK. There's a location in this book named after my character in Kim Kardashian Hollywood ("Kloaca Canyon") but this book was getting 5 stars before I even got to that part.

March Grand Prix is 3 short stories about a car-racing rabbit named March Hare. It's described as "Fast & Furious meets Hello Kitty" and that is very accurate. They're super cute & sweet stories about being a good person and friend and family member, set in the world of high-speed car-racing animals. The dialogue is snappy, the stories hum along tightly, AND my favorite is there's this cool schematic diagram thing Kean does where he shows the performance stats of cars (or apple tarts) and I hope that will be continued in future books. I HOPE THERE WILL BE MORE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES.

My only (very minor) quibble is that I wish the main character was a girl, bc there's no reason it particularly needs to be a boy. But I loved this book and it's perfect for young kids/young readers who are starting to get interested in graphic novels. Highly recommended gift idea.
