This book is a SLOW ONE. It seemed to drag on and on. The world building was thick and expansive so it just made the pacing off. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the character's growth through the book, but I feel like it could have been edited a bit more.

I love Jasnah. She's feisty. And I am interested to see how her and Shallan go about their exploration of soul casting/the voidbringers. Darlin's story wasn't very happening until BAM at the end, but I'm sure that means he'll become an integral part of the series going forward. Kalladin's bridge life was so slow and awkward to follow but I loved watching his leadership develop and how his part in this book ended. I want to know more about Wit/Hoid and what they're role in this series will be. I'm not sure but I'm hooked to find out.

I can say that I'm not dying to jump into the next book but will be excited to get it from the library when it arrives.
