I went to this not expecting much but a normal murder mystery plot. But boy was I wrong!
This book wrecked me by the end of it! Completely wrecked *sobs*
Even though some plot points were easy to detect and a little predictable, I still wasn't expecting that ending!!!
I loved the whole dark academia setting and the theatre aspect of it. The characters casually quoting Shakespeare, the elaboration of each play they were performing! The slow descent into madness was so well done.
I heard that this book actually has many key elements similar to the secret history. I'm thinking of reading it next. Hopefully it's as good as If We Were Villains!
