Time Out of Joint
by Philip K. Dick
The book started okay and its a decent mystery but goes off the rails in a bad way.
First off, I got super put off by the sexual assault turned love interest and then the ending happend. The big Truman show twist at the end is so convoluted and I think PKD knew it. The last 30 or so pages (13% of the book) is explaining the twist and it came off like the author really trying to justify the book. Then due to the explanation the main character makes a decision that alludes to a whole other book that could have been written and it just ends with a bunch of threads unexplained. Obviously there are a lot of PKD books out there, I'd go with Martian Time Slip or Sirens Of Titan over this one.
