This series is one of my favorites - all the MC goodness, amazing characters and a storyline that just keeps going and going in the best way. Nash, Locke and Orla’s story comes to an end here, but there’s more Rebel Kings to come.
I LOVE Nash and Locke together and Nash and Orla together, but Locke and Orla and all three of them together aren’t my favorite combination. Nash and Locke’s connection and relationship was so much fun to read but I really just felt like Orla was an unnecessary addition to their relationship by the end, like she was a good friend to both of them but not really a romantic partner? Though I feel like I may be in the minority with that opinion.
But, as always, I loved the through storyline - the constant drama, searches, planning, protecting, fighting, etc. always has me on the edge of my seat to see what’s going to happen next. Locke’s pain and trauma from the past and the present and Nash and Orla’s distress over missing him were all palpable on the page. Their reunion was sweet and heartbreaking, but full of so much tension. I loved seeing the three of them interact with Locke’s family - it was adorable and so, so perfect for all of them.
I really enjoy seeing all of the past characters and how they all played into the events of the book. I’d read a million books about Cam, Alexei and Saint - those three are my absolute favorites in every single book. Really excited for Ranger and Viktor’s story next - those two are going to be so much fun to read…all the mystery and intrigue!
