Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
by J.K. Rowling

the chamber of secrets is my favorite of the movies (i dont think it is the "best" movie, but it is my favorite... if that makes sense...) so i was excited to revisit this book especially.
Overall, the character's bonds seemed to solidify more in this book with Harry, Ron, and Hermione starting to grow into their recognizable qualities. I also think the threat is more ominous and the conflict in the chamber of secrets is actually scary, compared to the goofy conflict in the first book. I also appreciated the parts that deviated from the movie in small ways.
The main issue I have is the incessant repetition of background information that was painstakingly explained in the book before. But, this is a literal book for children so. Okay I guess.
