City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

"The boy never cried again, and he never forgot what he'd learned: that to love is to destroy, and that to be loved is to be the one destroyed."

I can't even begin to explain how amazing this book was. Two days later and I am still reeling over it. The reason why it took me longer than usual to finish this book was because I don't own an actual copy (although I am going to order the series box set the minute I get back home) so I had to go to the library and Barnes & Noble to read it. This series has been on my TBR forever and I'm so happy I finally am getting into it. Clary is an awesome character, and her and Jace are hilarious. He's such a sarcastic asshole but he has a soft side and I can't because that's probably my favorite kind of male character; even though people tend to make characters like Jace super cliche, I think there is something about the way the author wrote him that just made him so authentic. The storytelling and writing style is absolutely phenomenal, and just....I'm in awe over this amazing book. I cannot wait to read City of Ashes!!
