I really enjoy reading books that are written mainly or even completely from male POV because they are so rare, and I love to know what happens in the hero’s head.

I really liked all the characters in the book, even womanizer Butch, except for Penny’s evil dad, the Mayor of the town, and his equally evil lawyer Scott, who both were forcing Penny to marry him. But even pushed to the brink and standing to lose access to her Grandma whom she loved so much, Penny (21) didn’t give up and was looking for ways to get out of that bad situation.

Come the owner and the mechanic in his car repair shop Paine (28). To the world, he seemed like a big, rough, strong guy, but to Penny he was nice, kind, and caring teddy-bear. His name may sound like “pain” but he was all about giving pleasure and taking care of Penny.

I really enjoyed this story, and I couldn’t believe how far the evil characters were willing to go to get their way and something that didn’t belong to them. It’s good that Paine wasn’t having any of it, and he was willing to go to the end of the Earth to be together with Penny. ❤️
