This was my first book by this author and I’m looking forward to reading more of her work. This story had the perfect mix of adventure, tragedy, personal growth, and relationship building. I’m a sucker for stories set in remote areas where the characters experience both great times and terrible times, and this was exactly it. I found myself loathing characters (looking at you, Ernt) and loving characters (we all need a Large Marge in our lives) quite intensely throughout the book. I highly recommend!!
