Let This Radicalize You is a how to guide to organizing. Written in the tail end of 2020, it offers words of advice both lofty and practical from some of the organizers of most anti-carceral movements from the past few decades. As an appreciated and reader of other Kaba books, I found Let This Radicalize You to be so practical, offering advice from how to organize, the importance of broadening any movement, and advice for rest. Most importantly, it continued to focus on (as does a lot of Kaba’s work) on the importance of hope, of hope as an action and a muscle. Unfortunately, Hayes and Kaba’s book is perhaps even more relevant than it has ever been and should be mandatory reading for anyone considering organizing in today’s world.
