The Eternaut
by Francisco Solano López, Erica Mena, Héctor Germán Oesterheld
A monumental work that's been influencing comics as a medium for decades... and yet it's so freaking dull and slow. You can definitely see that it was a serialized strip and the repetitive middle section drags on way past its welcome. Still, the designs are really cool, the concepts introduced are fresh, and it'd be insane to deny that it's an important book. It's just not that fun to read past the excellent 100 first pages. I do recommend giving at least an obligatory look-through as the art (especially on characters' faces is top-notch) and the themes are still timely and relevant.
