I picked up this book because I was obsessed with Babel and I saw this 1-hour video essay/vlog by The book Leo and I decided I needed to check it out.
The Secret History was kind of surprising to me, I didn’t really know what it was about and I absolutely hated all the characters but I thought it was worthwhile, it made me curious even though at times I’d be thinking “I know what happens, why are there 200 more pages to go?”.
I believe that the reason why I couldn’t connect with this book is the crazy interest about the classics and how intense they are about that, kinda delulu for me but overall a great read.
My boy Richard was too obsessed with all the other main characters very fruity of him even though he tried to deny it 🤭
