cant believe i’ve waited so long to read! anthropologists are up 10000000 - Zora Neale Hurston knows how to *write*. the description is insane. she can write emotions like no other. you feel everything Janie feels. and then the ending??? bananas. heart-wrenching. 

if you listen to the audiobook, listen to Ruby Dee’s narration. her talent is crazy in this capacity!!
