Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

3.0

For some reason, this book really struggled to hold my attention. I listened to it in audiobook form, and found myself zoning out more often than I think I ever have when listening to an audiobook that I enjoy. It is a genuinely good book, but something about the prose loses me, I guess.

Gideon is hilariously crass and I love her for it. Her relationship with Harrow is wonderful. Sextus and Septimus were great characters as well. Pretty much everyone else gets lost in a sea of complicated names.

Maybe one day I'll get this book in physical form and give it another go, but for now, this is all I've got from it.
