I finished this two weeks ago and, even after reviewing details, I can remember only the big events in the first and third books, so this is a huge book of what is not quite filler that I was nevertheless incredibly engaged in. Instead, this book spent a lot of time with our characters exploring tragedies both long past and recent and how they work through them as well as relationships both old and new all while steadily moving the plot forward towards our inevitable end.
