I don’t like writing bad reviews so I’ll keep it brief.

In short the characters were the worst part of this book. I’ve never read a more self-centred, privileged, annoying and actively unbearable family in my life. I kept reading in hopes they would have a redemptive arch...plot twist, there was none. They ended as horrible people just as they started.

As a family they disregarded the feelings of anyone who could be seen as an outsider. And yet expected to be praised and held on a pedestal as the perfect Grants.

And the main character was the worst of them all. She was bratty, spoiled, and a bit delusion in thinking that only her family mattered.

Not to mention the plot was extremely boring. It was pages and pages or needless information. There was no need for this book to be so long with no real point or lesson at the end.

I’ve had some really good times with Morgan Matson books but I’m super disappointed in this one. I’d love to round off this review positively by ending with at least one thing I liked, but it’s unfortunate that I can’t.
