The Love of my Life by Rosie Walsh

4.0

3 stars for the first half, 5 stars for the second half. Emma and Leo seem like the perfect couple, with their loving relationship and beautiful young daughter. However, Leo finds out she is lying about her past. He begins looking into her past and has some troubling revelations. I was a bit frustrated by the first half of the book. So much was eluded to without clearing up what happened or why Emma made the decisions she did and why she continued to lie.

But once the story progressed and things started happening and were revealed, I was hooked! Things started coming together, and I could not put it down. I had to know how everything would resolve. I got emotional at parts when we found out about Emma's past. I loved how the themes of parenthood and forgiveness are explored. I love Rosie Walsh's captivating writing style.
