Asgardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 1: The Infinity Armada by Jill Thompson, Matteo Lolli, Cullen Bunn, Federico Blee, Luca Maresca, Stephanie Hans, Erick Arciniega, Natacha Bustos, André Lima Araújo, Mike del Mundo

1.0

This volume was a great idea that just didn't work at any point. The team was a good mix of characters, but some of them seemed to have weirdly involved backstories that really had no frame of reference within the volume, and they all just seemed to be coming along for no real reason. The main plot had a nice setup with the twists and villains and MacGuffins, but then meandered weirdly and managed to avoid having any impactful or meaningful scene at any point. The art was fine, but nothing special.

Basically, the only really good part was Throg, the Frog of Thunder, flying around with his mini-Mjolnir and looking majestic on the dashboard of the ship. Other than that there really wasn't much to recommend here.
