I really enjoy the arc of the storyline for this series, but I wish the heroine here was a little less weepy. She's an interesting character with a fleshed-out background, but she's crying in about 70% of her scenes (or so it seemed to me). This almost lessens the emotional impact when she undergoes more traumatic experiences.

Besides this complaint, the novel was difficult to put down and I'll definitely be finishing the series to see what happens to the crew.
