Behind Closed Doors
by B.A. Paris
The story of a “perfect marriage” between Jack Angel and Grace. While reading, I went through confusion, nervousness, and even found a bit of humor, though I’m not sure whether the author intended it or if it was just me interpreting it as comedy.
The journey feels rather stagnant with a back-and-forth plot in each chapter, but it changes drastically in the last three chapters—especially the final two pages, which made me cry uncontrollably.
The story isn’t complex, but I could feel the horror experienced by the characters, as well as the panic and anxiety leading up to the plot twist.
For those with a vivid and realistic imagination, I’d give a 50:50 recommendation, because it’s like watching a horror movie that’s just too scary to watch alone.
