I wouldn’t usually buy/read a book when the publisher blatantly lies about how librarians and booksellers ONLY got ARCs on NetGalley. Ma’am, I know that isn’t true. All of bookstagram and their grandmas got an ARC and I’d rather you just be honest if I don’t have enough followers or the right audience or whatever. But c’mon, just don’t lie.
However, it’s Riley freaking Sager, and I wasn’t going to hold that against him personally. I did really enjoy it and wouldn’t have been able to see the very odd twist coming from a million miles away, but it wasn’t groundbreaking.
