Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King
3.0
This is an interesting format for King. Somewhere between a picture book and a graphic novel lies Cycle of the Werewolf. Though I sometimes take issue with King’s tendency to write bloated books, I found myself wanting more from this short work. I suppose you can’t always have it both ways.
The book’s chapters are the months of one year in (you guessed it) a small town in Maine. Each chapter/month is a vignette detailing an encounter with the werewolf terrorizing the town, complete with illustrations interspersed throughout. The illustrations are great, I must say, and overall it’s a fun little book, but it’s not major King.
