I absolutely loved this book. While I'm definitely too much of a weenie to watch most horror films, I love reading about their plots. Finding a whole book to put the movies together for me was a treat. Beyond the descriptions of the plots, I enjoyed that the author put so much care into breaking down the political and social climates that influence themes in film, classic tropes, and little details like "you should watch this if ___, but you should definitely avoid it ___." She also added book recommendations for each film, in case the reader can't bring themselves to watch the movie, but wants to read something with a similar theme. Overall, the perfect book for someone like me!
