This book knows exactly who its audience is: people who are experiencing a crisis of faith and who need help figuring out the next step. My husband and I could have used a book like this a few years ago as we navigated many of the steps that Escobar talks about - breaking away from old ideas and trying to forge a new identity. I found the first part of the book a little bit dry as she talked about the stages of faith but the second half that focused on rebuilding was soothing and encouraging. Our faith should live and grow with us, and when it feels as if it is lost, it would be nice to have a guidebook like what Escobar has written here. We worked out many of these stages on our own or with the help of our community, but for those who aren't so lucky, I recommend this book.
