Malibu Rising surprised me. I almost didn’t read the book because on the surface it didn’t look interesting, but I’m so glad I gave the book some time. The characters are lovable and for many relatable. The ending wraps up in one big whirl, but also in such a meaningful way.
Graphic: Abandonment, Addiction, Alcohol, Alcoholism, Sexual content, and Toxic relationship
Moderate: Death of parent, Fire/Fire injury, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Blood, Gun violence, Violence, and Vomit
For those who have strained parental relationships this book may be difficult to read or triggering.
