Man oh man, this was a wild ride. I did like this book but it wasn’t what I expected.

This book has a lot of childhood trauma that Elli is working through and it’s very graphic. Then she’s still going through that same trauma in her adulthood.

Then there’s Sin. I wanted to love him, I really did but he’s just not my kind of guy. I don’t know what it was about him that I didn’t like at first but I guess it worked out for the book. I mean, towards the end I started to like him but it was a long wait and then it was too late. If that makes any sense.

The spice is way more than the plot but that’s expected since this book is focused around Elli’s SA as a teen and young adult. It’s very graphic and goes into detail of what happened/happens to her. I wish Sin was a little less ruthless with her but that’s who he is and of course he didn’t start to become “softer” with Elli until he realized how much he loves her.
