𝚂𝚢𝚗𝚘𝚙𝚜𝚒𝚜:
Two MCs unknowingly born of the same enemy, forced to work together on the same special forces unit.
I needed a sidestep from high fantasy and decided to dive back into DR. With my goal of supporting more indie authors this year I decided to give 𝘓𝘔𝘉 a try. I was in need of an easy, spicy read and this book provided.
𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘔𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 was dark, grity, and intense.
I am all for two people finding peace in each other, but felt the chemistry between Nellie and Bradshaw was not there and that they were merely trauma bonded.
The way the military operated did not make much sense and would have benefited from being expanded upon. The first half of this read had me hooked, but was disappointed to see the last half start to crumble.
The conclusion felt rushed and too over the top, leaving me unsatisfied, in addition there were two major plot holes that were never revisited.
Ultimately I felt that this story had great potential, but felt the writing, supporting material and twist lacked depth and could have benefited from an editor.
