Very fun! If a little repetitive and slow.
I would've appreciated if the thesis of womanhood and motherhood being tied to the absurdity and bodily transformation of literally becoming a dog... emerged a little more naturally from the prose rather than explained straight up. The first very literally Kafka-esque half of the book was very compelling but after she regularly starts turning something loses its charm.
Something that did ring surprisingly true for me was her thoughts and mindset as an artist. That's difficult to find in books I've realized.
However I'm a little miffed because I'd been stuck on this book in a slump for quite sometime sadly.
