Vanderbilt: The Rise and Fall of an American Dynasty by Katherine Howe, Anderson Cooper
4.0
This was a very readable collection of stories from the Vanderbilt family by one of its most famous members--Anderson Cooper. Instead of a trashy tell-all, Cooper gently humanizes certain family members to show how they overcame or succumbed to the trappings of wealth and privilege. The chapters about Cooper's mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, are especially strong.
