This book contained a collection of short stories and the titular novella. The short stories were hit or miss, but I think the “My Monticello” story was a harrowing tale. I am from Charlottesville, so being able to vividly picture the locations and events made the story very immersive. It’s a “dystopia” that is not too unrealistic.
