What a lovely novel <3 I’d been meaning to pick this up ever since my partner read it, and I’m very grateful I did. I love me some sci-fi that drones on in jargon I don’t quite follow, makes me feel like I’m in being let in on a joke while I smile and nod. That being said, it’s not too complicated or overwhelming that you get worked up over not understanding, you begin to build an accepting attitude towards it all, submitting to “yeah, that’s just the way things work, obviously”. The effortless twists in this story lead to a highly readable piece of work; even when it jumped around, it was easy to continue on without losing track of the story. Not even mentioning the endlessly amusing quips and character quirks that revealed themselves throughout the book, it was quite an enjoyable read. Even just halfway through the book, I had already ordered the sequel to come in the mail for me to continue :) ALL the character designs are just fabulous and they’ve stuck themselves in my mind, I’ll definitely be drawing them for the next little while
