Omg I have just finished this book and my thoughts are a bit jumbled and I am feeling so many emotions but there is one thing I am completely sure off which is the fact that I absolutely love this book and that it is definitely one of the best books I have ever read in my life.

-Characters, plot, and world-building:

These characters are all written in such vivid detail that makes them seem so alive. Galaxy 'Alex' Stern, our main character, is such an icon. She has gone through so much and has shown so much character development through the book. Her backstory was uncovered really well as I kept reading and it was all so surprising. The fact that she has all these wounds but is still probably the best version of herself is really inspiring. All the side characters were fascinating and I love them all so much. All of these characters are iconic and unforgettable and I am so intrigued to find out what is going to happen to them in the sequel.

"There was more pain locked inside her that no glowing map would reveal."

The plot of the book was really gripping. It was honestly so compelling and made me unable to put the book down. . There were so many plot-twists throughout the book and especially at the end which has left me in awe. It was all really action-packed and captivating. The cliffhanger at the end has made me so excited for the sequel and I can't wait to pre-order it!!

"Whether you made a deal with the living or the dead, best to not come up short."

The world-building of Ninth House was honestly very confusing in my opinion. I had so many questions about it but by the end of the book I had almost all of these questions answered. It was all really creative and I absolutely enjoyed it. All of The Houses of the Veil were fascinating and I really liked them.

-Pacing and writing style:

Ninth House was a medium paced book. It was a bit hard to get into but after a couple of chapters I was completely hooked. The pacing became a bit faster almost 9 chapters into the book and continued from there.

"Magic had almost killed him, but in the end it had saved him. Just like in stories."

The writing style was simply gorgeous. It was a bit heavy but I got accustomed to it after a while into the book and I am absolutely in love with it. It was way better than the writing style of the Grisha trilogy and added more taste to the book.

"If you were going to hell together, murder seemed like a good place to start."

-Other ideas:

I don't think I will ever read a book as good as this one.

"Mors irrumat omnia"

"Magic was never good or bad"

"He'd read enough stories to know you never looked back on your way out of hell."
