It took me a while to read this. Not because it was bad, but because it was so, so much. Like a rich dessert you need to take your time with. I've said it before, but TJ Klune is magnificent. His writing is exquisite.
This is a story about faith and fathers. Good fathers that so many of us don't get in life. Fathers that maybe make the entire world worth giving up. It is also about the suffocating agony of grief. And maybe it's about feeling the comfortable weight of unconditional love and understanding what it means to lose that.
