This book was undeniably a fun read. It was a nice change of pace from my usual fantasy and sci-fi read. It was really fast paced and the chapters were all extremely short which helped make it easy to pick up and chip away at often. The story is kind of all over the place at times and you jump around and get introduced to new groups often with no real explanation. This sometimes takes away from the plot and character development, but does all come together towards the end. I thought there were a lot of interesting aspects to this book including a lot of folk lore which was really fun to see come to life. Overall, I did enjoy this book. I just think that the book could have been longer with more in depth character building that would have made the endings hit a little harder for more of the group. I did really enjoy the ending for a certain ghost, and Rose, but the rest of the characters I didn’t feel got proper endings. It’s a book I certainly enjoyed, but it has some very obvious flaws.
