This 👏 book 👏 has 👏 everything. Sumptuous food & drink, sunny travel, the joyful weirdos you meet on a group tour, and slutty (affectionate) bisexual exes who realize they still have feelings for each other over the course of a hook-up competition, in truly one of my favorite slow-burns. Theo & Kit are joyously flawed & wonderfully in love. The imagery is deft & poetic, and there are reflections on art & beauty that 1) perfectly fit the characters 2) made me, always down for an art gallery, want to visit the places they saw. McQuiston was my intro to romance novels, and I think this is their best one yet.
Also, I listened to this as an audiobook & the narrators were absolutely fantastic. I put this on while doing the dishes and laughed out loud MULTIPLE times.
