Scary Dead Things by Rick Gualtieri

4.0

This is another fun book in the Tome of Bill series. The pacing was good, although there were a few slow moments. I had the inkling that Bill's situation would become more f*cked up as the series progressed, but I had no idea it would get so crazy so quickly. More than once I thought, "How the hell is Gualtieri going to resolve this?!" I'm dubious about his method, and I really do think the Gan situation will come up again. But I definitely enjoyed the second installment in this series.

I'm glad we got to see a bit of Bill's growth as a vampire and a Freewill. But I hope that he does get more "practice" with all of his skills before the next book. I also hope that he lessens up on his name-calling of Sally, as it was starting to annoy me this book. You can only read the word "bitch" so many times before you begin get irritated with your hero.

All in all, I'm glad I picked up this series and look forward to more hilarity in book 3. Because Vampires vs. Sasquatch sounds fantastic. Or maybe fantastically horrible.
