I knew I was going to love Beautiful Exile from the moment Arden and Linc met. Talk about a first impression! This book had everything—suspense, sizzling chemistry, and so much heart.
Arden is such a standout heroine. She’s tough, independent, and strong as hell, but even the strongest people need someone in their corner. She’s spent years running, hiding, and keeping everyone at a distance—until Lincoln comes crashing in. And Linc?! Swooooon. He’s the definition of “he falls first and if he could, he would.” A billionaire hockey team owner who is patient, protective, and absolutely relentless in showing Arden she doesn’t have to face everything alone. The way he never backs down, even when she tries to push him away? Obsessed.
And the suspense?! Top. Tier. Catherine Cowles kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. There was one twist that had my jaw literally on the floor! The tension, the danger, the slow-burn romance—it was perfect. And don’t even get me started on the sibling (and lolli!) banter. Arden and Linc just click, and I loved watching them challenge each other and fall so hard.
Also, shoutout to Brutus and Benny. They are my fav kind of supporting characters. Every single moment with them made me smile!
The audiobook narration was flawless, bringing all the tension, emotion, and swoony moments to life in a way that made it impossible to hit pause. Catherine Cowles just does not miss. Sparrow Falls is a must read series.
