Narration by Erin Mallon is awful - I will never listen to another book narrated by her. Her voice was so annoying - think whiny, sultry/croaky, "valley girl". I had to speed it up to 2x speed just to tolerate any words that ended in ie/y/ee because they dragged out ridiculouslyyyyyyyyyyyyy and ended on grunt/sighs like Whitneyyyyyyyyyyuh. Just awful. I don't recommend this book, overall but I especially do not recommend the audiobook. I actually looked at a few other books she narrated and turns out, I started listening to some and quit because I didn't like the narrator but had no idea it was the same person. Now I know. No Erin Mallon books for me!
Story - I appreciated the Romeo/Juliet/Hatfield/McCoy dilemma. I especially loved the fueding grandpas living next door to each other giving Grumpy Old Men vibes. I wanted more of their relationship!
As for the romance, it was weird and unrealistic. It was really hard to follow with the past to present to past to present jumps from chapter to chapter, especially since the same exact situations would pop up in both past and present. I couldn't keep it straight. I didn't mind Lincoln as a char cter but I couldn't stand Whitneyyyyyyyyyyyuh.
I normally like Meghan March books but I will not be reading the rest of the Sin Trilogy.
