Red String Theory by Lauren Kung Jessen
3.0

3.5 I don’t know what aspect of Jasmine Guillory they were comparing this to, but there was almost no spark or flame in this entire relationship. I think that’s why it was so hard to connect and like this book- I just didn’t feel the love. It felt like a really good friendship. Jack tried too hard to make it not work and it took too long for him to come around, basically until the epilogue, so for me it was unsatisfying. The good part was that Rooney didn’t let him hold her back and that her mom did the right thing getting that video back. I fully believed the fate and red string aspects, so I loved learning more about that, and I wish I could see Rooney’s unique string art designs. Otherwise, I liked this one even less than Lunar Love, sadly.
