A review by rahnawyn
Son by Lois Lowry

4.0

I read The Giver in elementary school, and that copy is still with me, beaten up and loved. I loved Gathering Blue as well, and enjoyed Messenger -- so it is with this in mind that I call Son a well-written ending to this quartet.

Though it could be considered a stand-alone novel, I think it is best read in conjunction with the first three. Lowry did a great job bringing in characters from the previous books.

The Giver will always be my favorite of the four, but this was good too.
