Endless Night by Agatha Christie
3.0

My reading experience was marred somewhat by this nagging feeling that I had seen a TV adaptation of this story (even though it’s not a Poirot or a Marple). I’ve had a memory of a tv show with a beautiful mid-century house in the middle of the woods where everyone has this feeling it’s been cursed, but I couldn’t remember what it was other than it was based on a story by Agatha Christie. I think this must have been it. While I didn’t remember the exact plot points, I struggled a bit while reading the slow-moving set up because I had such a strong feeling that I knew this story already. Therefore, I would say this story is objectively a good, eerie, creepy one (prejudice against gypsies aside) but my reading experience was not amazing.
