Such an eye opening story about the women in Vietnam, and the war and the climate of the US in general. Much like today, it’s tragic that people serve our country then can’t get proper help when they return. Friendship and support was so important for the women returning home. The fact that Frankie went to the VA for help and was asked if she’s menstruating and told she’ll be fine because she wasn’t in direct combat was heartbreaking and disgusting. When the war ended and the plot twist came, my jaw actually dropped… TWICE. I could not stop thinking about it, it felt like I was personally betrayed alongside Frankie. I didn’t love the ending, but still amazing overall!
