This was a Cinderella retelling (obviously, from the title). FMC lies to MMC and says she's a Lady when she is really a servant in the house, even though it was her mother's house, and her stepfather lives there.
Plots that could easily be resolved by a single frank conversation usually annoy me, and this was no exception. Inevitably, books with that story like drag in the middle, and that set in about 60% of the way through this book too. The end wrapped up pretty quickly - I wish more time had been spent on the resolution and less time on the ruminating about how to reveal the lie.
That said, I did like the MMC and FMC, and I enjoyed the stepsister's story too.
