I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh
3.0
Saw this book on a list of books to read that have plot twists that will blow your mind. It does have some pretty good ones but not necessarily mind blown, but it was a thrilling read.
Two things to note before you read:
1.) Part 1 is slow and tedious, but there are important clues for part 2 which is VERY fast paced.
2.) There is a whole new depth to the story if you read the author's note. She based her female characters off of her personal experiences as a mother and on the police force, and she wanted to show a dichotomy of roles and play off the meaning of "letting go". Now that layer of depth makes this truly a fascinating thought experiment.
All in all a good summer read.
